THANKSGIVING WEEK <3

Be Present In All Things And Thankful For All Things.”

-Maya Angelou

Greetings and a Very Happy Sunday dear all;)

Sunday as for me is the most anticipated day as I try to make it more interesting and schedule self-care.Its also one of the days when My Family Time is My topmost priority and rest everything takes a backseat.I believe you should also impart this day for the same.Brownie Points !!!

So 22 Nov is Celebrated as “Thanksgiving Day” all over and I would like to celebrate it with a Unique tinge. Well,as a matter of fact, every day should be a thanksgiving day and having a Grateful mindset and heart is a pre-requisite for a Life with purpose, there is also an added onus to celebrate one day dedicated to Gratefulness.

Thus, apart from the regular content that goes live onto my blog,”I am dedicating this week as a “THANKSGIVING WEEK.” WHere specifically every day I shall be posting gratitude posts on the blog and on all social media handles.

“Gratitude is the Best Attitude.”

In a fast-paced world, we live in, let’s make this week again a Fruitful and Purposeful one by showering Gratitude confetti on all “Those Special People, Who Have Made Our Lives Blissful and Gleeful.”

I have this habit of maintaining a Gratitude Log, where in on an everyday basis I Feel Gratitude For all the things good , negative that happened that day. You will agree with me that “Everything Happens For Good.”Failures,Lost Expectations and Rejections are all blessings in disguise which we need to be grateful for.

Let me share a personal story here.

I had this person in my Life, who I believed was a Great friend. As per my nature,I really went out of my way to be there for him no matter the qualm. He also reciprocated maybe not to my level but did his bit.I did help him cope up with his nuances. But then suddenly one fine day it so happened that his work was done,so he stopped contacting.I could sense a change in his behavior, change in his vibes and so on.

I tried many ways to reason out with him.But he never reciprocated and behaved in umpteen ways.My energy and mood started to plummet.I was in a cavalcade of disappointment as I could see my emotions to be played for and taken for granted. Great thanks to my dear friends who came to my help .

One of my friend gave me this piece of advice(I still recount during those blues):  DISCONNECT but not holding a grudge but Forgiving and Letting Go and To Feel GRATITUDE for the IMPORTANT LESSON HE TAUGHT and That is

“NOT EVERYONE DESERVES YOUR ENERGY.NOT EVERYONE DESERVES YOUR CARE AND LOVE.BID A GOODBYE AND EMBRACE ALL THE PEOPLE WHO STILL STICK AROUND YOU AND FEEL GRATEFUL.LEARN THE LESSON AND MOVE AHEAD.”

I could come out of this aftermath( that such people disguised as FRIENDS could also exist) only and only Through the Power of Gratitude. Seconding to what Rupi Kaur says in one of her poetries in Milk and Honey

“It Takes Grace To Remind Kind In Cruel Situations.”

He truly was a Blessing in DIsguise.!!!He gave me the strength to feel grateful in the most daunting of the situations which I never could have tarnished.

If you also have encountered such situations, dear friend, let’s forgive and let go. Let’s not hold remorse.Life is too short for a drudgery. Remember You are a Special one and you are greatly, fanatically loved by your dearest ones.

Hold a Big Smile and exhale the discontent and feel grateful.

It Helps. Trust me.

Winding up with a Poem From Rupi Kaurs Book “Milk and Honey”

“I Thank the Universe For Taking

Everything it has Taken

And Giving to Me

Everything It is Giving.”
